(Senior) Project Executive

Hong Kong Design Centre (HKDC) was founded in 2001 as a strategic partner of the HKSAR Government in establishing Hong Kong as centre of design excellence in Asia. The Roles:

  1. Work with the project team to plan, organise, execute and deliver HKDC programmes and publications (includes community and public engagement activities, business and brands partnership, etc.) and other special projects on time and within budget;
  2. Handle daily communications, logistics and provide administrative support for efficient project and event management;
  3. Proactively and effectively research, reach out, liaise and coordinate with local/overseas design units, organisations, partners, collaborators and community stakeholders to participate in the programme;
  4. Assist in content development and write-up for social media posts, presentations, publications and reports;
  5. Assist in digital outreach on programme promotion with social media and website content management;
  6. Coordinate all promotional materials and activities with related parties as well as on-site decoration at partners venue;
  7. Attend and assist in the activities and events related to the programme by request; and
  8. Perform ad hoc assignments as required.

Requirements:

  1. University degree or above or equivalent in design, art administration, cultural management, event/ exhibition management, PR & marketing, government relations, journalism are preferred;
  2. Min. 4 years relevant experience work experience. Had experience in running programme related to design education, arts and cultural, community, event & exhibition, government relations is an advantage;
  3. Candidate with same education level but less experience will be considered as Project Executive (min. 2 years) or Project Associate (less than 2 years);
  4. Excellent command of both spoken and written English and Chinese (including Mandarin);
  5. Bring a strong conceptual approach and a keen understanding of design thinking process, collaboration and partnership, and the role of design and interventions at public space;
  6. Proactive, detail-minded, responsible, adaptable and resourceful self-starter with tactful communication and interpersonal skills to work among diverse communities;
  7. Proficiency in MS Office and Chinese Word Processing; and
  8. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud is an advantage.
