Hong Kong Design Centre (HKDC) was founded in 2001 as a strategic partner of the HKSAR Government in establishing Hong Kong as centre of design excellence in Asia. The Roles:
The role offers unparalleled opportunities for global exposure, impactful contribution, extensive networking, and recognition within the innovation and design landscape –
- Work with Director - Innovation & Design Knowledge and partners to develop the Centre’s annual flagship knowledge conferences: Business of Design Week (BODW), Knowledge of Design Week (KODW), and bodw+ design knowledge platform;
- Lead editorial development by research, content strategy and development while aligning the programme objectives and market relevance for good learning outcomes and impact;
- Copywriting for editorial content, corporate communication and marketing promotion;
- Able to network with partners, sponsors and speakers from local, the Mainland and overseas countries;
- Spearhead knowledge management and manage the creation of original contents across multiple platforms for expanding reach;
- Perform ad hoc assignments as required.
Requirements:
- University graduate or above;
- At least 8 years post-graduation work experience; with at least 3 years’ experience in a team leadership role with good coaching skills, global horizons and ability to navigate complexity in an innovation setting;
- Experience in editorial, corporate communication and advertising agency is preferred;
- Competent narrative, communications and language skills. Strong English writing skills is a must.
- With strong leadership and project management skills, with passion and commitment to deliver high standard programme;
- A keen learner, self-motivated and collaborative team player showing proficient research skills and problem-solving ability; Possessing an inquisitive mind, creative confidence and tact that encourage learning, engagement and collaboration among diverse stakeholder communities;
- Demonstrates a good understanding of design, culture and trends.
- Experience in launching new initiatives and undertaking effective project management adhering to governance standards, ensuring positive outcomes and impact;
- Exhibits a strong sense of urgency and maintain high performance under tight timelines;
- A professional with accountability that meets statutory, industry code of conduct and internal reporting and compliance requirements.
