Hong Kong Design Centre (HKDC) was founded in 2001 as a strategic partner of the HKSAR Government in establishing Hong Kong as the centre of design excellence in Asia. We are on a public mission to promote wider and strategic use of design and design thinking to foster innovation, create business value and improve societal well-being.

The Roles:

  1. Develop and implement a design-entrepreneurship programme for nurturing design-preneurs;
  2. Proactively identify and facilitate potential start-up companies in design and creative fields;
  3. Engage in sales, marketing and promotional activities of the programme;
  4. Work closely and liaise with internal and external parties including government departments, industrial organisations, academic institutions, professional bodies, potential business partners and stakeholders;
  5. Perform ad hoc assignments as required.

Requirements:

  1. University degree with at least 8 years relevant experience in general management, marketing, event or project management in which at least 3 years at supervisory level;
  2. Practical experience gained in NGO/NPO, tertiary education, institutes, professional bodies or public sectors in desirable;
  3. Substantial experience in entrepreneurship nurturance is an absolute advantage;
  4. Fluent in spoken and written English and Chinese (including Putonghua);
  5. Have a good sense of strategic thinking, risk management and cost planning;
  6. Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
