Laiyan Projets is a creative platform that fuses art and design within its practice covering projects ranging from public art to graphic design and interior design, from art curation to imaginative problem solving in the creative industry.
Laiyan Projects likes to blur the boundaries of art and design and surprise people. In our works we have a very personal and individual approach to all our projects and clients, creating unique solutions, site-specific, distinctive and with an artistic touch.
Laiyan Projects was founded by Hong Kong-based German artist and designer Cornelia Erdmann. She had her education at Bauhaus-University Weimar, Germany with an MA in Architecture and an MFA in Public Art.
In 2011 Laiyan Projects completed a major light wall sculpture "The People" in the main lobby of the new Legislative Council Complex in Hong Kong and participated in the recent iLight Marina Bay 2012 light festival and Vivid Light Festival 2011 in Sydney. Laiyan Projects has worked for many public and private commissions such as Times Square Office Tower, Hong Kong or for a five-star hotel in Suzhou, China.
