Hong Kong Design Centre (HKDC) was founded in 2001 as a strategic partner of the HKSAR Government in establishing Hong Kong as centre of design excellence in Asia. We are on a public mission to promote wider and strategic use of design and design thinking to foster innovation, create business value and improve societal well-being.

Job Duties:

1. Support HKDC's flagship programmes: Business of Design Week (BODW), Knowledge of Design Week (KODW) and bodw+ (digital design knowledge platform);
2. Assist in the execution of marketing initiatives, including content strategy, website optimisation, SEO, SEM, social media activation, display and video advertising and email marketing;
3. Create and update marketing materials across traditional and online platforms;
4. Manage daily marketing activities;
5. Chinese and English copywriting;
6. Coordinate, execute or support other marketing- and operation-related duties;
7. Liaise and coordinate with internal teams and external parties across public and private sectors, including government agencies, academic institutions, design professionals, business executives, and local and overseas partners; and
8. Perform ad-hoc assignments as required.

Requirements:

1. University degree or above;
2. At least 4 years of working experience in marketing or communications;
3. Good verbal and written communication skills in English, Cantonese and Putonghua;
4. A team player with good communication and interpersonal skills, professionalism and a can-do attitude;
5. Adept in problem solving and negotiations;
6. Able to work independently and attentive to details;
7. Skills with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator or Adobe Premiere will be an advantage;
8. Curious and well-informed on culture, design and technology; and
9. Immediate availability is preferred.
