Job roles

  1. Work closely with the Senior Manager and Manager in the planning, programming, experiential delivering and reporting matters of HKDC’s flagship programmes (physical, virtual and hybrid): Business of Design Week and Knowledge of Design Week;
  2. Monitor the work progress and undertake effective management, including event operations, audience recruitment, partnership and sponsorship, budgetary control, timely reporting, research & data analysis, assessment of outcomes and impacts of related activities;
  3. Coordinate with professional service providers and liaise with internal and external parties across non-profit organizations and private sectors, including sponsors, business partners, speakers, vendors and other stakeholders;
  4. Able to build industry network and negotiation with different stakeholders;
  5. Perform ad hoc assignments as required.

Job requirements

  1. University graduate with at least 6 years of relevant work experience in content-centric event / exhibition / project management, communications or related fields;  
  2. Substantial experience in coordinating large-scale international conferences and events of different scales and / or creative industries is preferred;
  3. Excellent quality project management, time management, problem solving and interpersonal skills;
  4. Can-do attitude with professionalism and accountability to meet statutory, industry code of conduct, internal reporting and compliance requirements;
  5. Able to meet deadlines and fulfill statutory, internal reporting and compliance requirements;
  6. Good communication skills, including written English and Chinese;
  7. Ability to work independently and attentive to details;
  8. Good sen sibility to design, trends and technology will be a clear advantage.
