Event - Project Manager (Contract up to 31 March 2025)

Hong Kong Design Centre (HKDC) was founded in 2001 as a strategic partner of the HKSAR Government in establishing Hong Kong as centre of design excellence in Asia. The Roles:
- Plan, organize, executive and be accountable for the end-to-end successful delivery of “10 Asian Designers To Watch” - a showcase of Asian Design Excellence events, including but not limited to exhibitions, networking events and outreach/concurrent programmes involved;
- Monitor the work progress and undertake effective project management, including event operations, guest invitations and management;
- Work closely with various vendors and liaise with internal and external parties across public and private sectors, including designers;
- On-site management for installation and logistics supervision and/or inspection, perform quality check when required;
- Hospitality arrangement and coordination for speakers, designers and other VIP guests;
- Develop sponsorship packages to attract sponsors and partners;
- Any other support duties as required by supervisor.
Requirements:
- Holder of a University degree or above
- Minimum 8 years post-graduation work experience, with at least 3 years of marketing/event management experience in the fashion or luxury industry;
- Candidates with less experience will be considered as Assistant Manager;
- Excellent verbal and written skills in both English and Chinese (including Putonghua);
- Strong editing and project management skills with experience in digital marketing and social media is an advantage;
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to meet tight deadlines;
- Excellent communicator with a strong level of attention to detail and ability to ensure consistently high-quality delivery of projects and initiatives
- Good sensibility to fashion design, business development and trends is preferred;
- Hunger to learn from others and pick up new tasks and skills along the way, ability to absorb feedback and make it actionable.
