“Design is not just a work of production and services, it is also a mode of thinking and an attitude of living.” Our objectives To provide consultations and information to those interested in joining the design field, as well as to help the industry recruit young talents. To formulate a code of conduct, rules of procedure and practice among designers. To enhance the professional standard and status of Hong Kong designers. To promote the development of local art and design by uniting artists and designers of different disciplines and people of different backgrounds. To enhance the public's understanding of art and professional design practice by organizing various art and design education activities. To conduct studies in all aspects of design for further exploring its potentials. Topics related to design practice, whether social or economical, scientific or humanistic, would be incorporated into our scope of studies. To develop a knowledge system that consists of different archives, information and resources for facilitating all kinds of art and design related activities.
