For marketers, the term “smart city” can very much break down into “big data”, “cloud” and “social” aspects. With a smart city, devices are installed within a city blanketed with WiFi, in which will collect data and operate infrastructure and services of the city to maximum efficiency.
As smart cities become more ubiquitous, so does the underlying technical and social change that is worth discussing. This Symposium will discuss how smart cities will affect our digital economy, as well as opportunities for marketers to get even closer to consumers.
