A group of people working together does not necessarily make a team; a manager who gives orders does not make him a leader. Building an effective team is always a challenge. The common prescriptive, top-down management style, may hinder the value of a diverse team and hence discourage innovation. Design thinking emphasises empathy and cross-disciplinary collaboration. With various visual tools, it inspires and pulls team members together towards a common goal. Everyone is a leader in some way. Join us to learn the tricks to help your team soar!

Track C: Connect to the World
When talking about sustainable society, climate change and well-being are some of the hot issues. Both commercial organisations and NGOs have started to advocate green business, diversity and inclusion, and workplace wellness. No matter how well-defined a policy may be, when put into implementation, there are many aspects need to be considered. Design thinking could bridge the gap. The value of design thinking is not exclusive for the creative industry. When you approach a problem with a human-centred mindset, you could bring business and society together and create shared value with different stakeholders.
