"DeX 2018" Design Exchange to Bangkok & Melbourne Design Week Application Deadline

Hong Kong Design Centre is now scouting for young designers to join our first programme in 2018, “DeX 2018” project, “DeX” is a design exchange programme aiming at upholding HKDC’s mission “to establish Hong Kong as a centre of Design Excellence in Asia” and introduce Hong Kong design young force to Asia Pacific region and ASEAN market.

With a process of selection by a vetting panel, “DeX 2018” will bring a group of Hong Kong emerging young design talents to either showcase at Bangkok Design Week (27 Jan – 4 Feb 2018) or join in a collaborative pop-up store at National Gallery of Victoria’s Design Store during Melbourne Design Week (15-25 Mar 2018). To further enhance the exchange experience and understanding of the creative economy in the two cities, inspiration trips will be arranged simultaneously during both design week. The participated designers will be invited to a number of visits to design/ business related studios, centres, exhibitions, museums and participate in business networking events, design/business related symposium/seminars/workshops. The inspiration trips shall be a valuable experience for participants to further explore their opportunities overseas.
