Summer Intern - DFA Awards

Design helps to enhance Hong Kong’s Competitiveness & Societal Well-being. HKDC is a non-profit design promotion organisation and a strategic partner of the HKSAR Government to advance Hong Kong as an international design hub in Asia. Our scope of work embraces promoting good design, cultivating design thinking, nurturing designer founders and design talents, and fostering enterprising creativity, collaborative synergy and innovation. Through content-driven programming and communication, we will step up efforts to foster wider & strategic use of design across professions, industries and the community.


  1. Data / actual product handling;
  2. Pre-judging logistics;
  3. Judging Venue Set-up (set up and dismantle with physical move-in/out of the materials from office / warehouse to the judging venue);
  4. Assist all the promotional events of the Awards in Hong Kong including forums, exhibitions, telemarketing, etc;
  5. Any other ad-hoc tasks as assigned

Outdoor duties are required


  1. University Year 1-3 students, preferably in studying Design or Marketing;
  2. Good in Cantonese, English & Mandarin, knowledgeable in other language(s) is a plus;
  3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications, and versatility in social media;
  4. Familiar with Photoshop / Illustration skills are preferred;
  5. Sensible and knowledge in Design, Art and Culture;
  6. Logically thinking is essential


  1. Contract Period: late Apr 2018 to Aug 2018 [approx. 1-2 month(s) for each intern]
